The challenge
Abingdon School is one of the oldest independent schools in the country. Development of school facilities is critical for sustaining the highest standards and its excellent reputation. The school achieves superb results in science despite severely outdated and overcrowded facilities. A campaign was needed to help raise funds from parents, alumni and the wider school community.
Our approach
MCC developed a creative, eye-catching and witty multi-media campaign, delivered through a series of direct mail and email shots. Video, produced by students, was an important part of the strategy to integrate the campaign into the school community rather than a sideline activity. A brand identity was also produced for the campaign.
Results
Despite the difficult economic conditions in recent times, the campaign successfully met its ambitious fundraising target. With a highly impressive ROI of £9 for every pound spent, the investment in the campaign will benefit thousands of scientists for years to come.
